Goat Country

As we hit the northern most part of our trip north in the UAE we came to an area covered in goats that roamed the country side. Shahir assured me that they did belong to someone and that in the evening they returned to their homes. I'm guessing that we saw over 500 goats wandering around.
I love the one eating paper.
This was a contrast to Dubai where the only animal I saw was 1 cat, the entire time that I was there. Animals are kept in the home and none are roaming the streets. I didn't even see a person walking the dog.
A newspaper article said that since Nov 2009, no animals had been euthenized in Dubai. 40 dogs had been in a shelter, but a family took them out and found homes for them.
